Chapter 6 — Process
Path to opening your Protein Bar & Kitchen
Our process allows us the chance to get to know each other while spending time doing deep due diligence on the Protein Bar & Kitchen brand and your interest in franchising.
Step 1
Introductory call
A 30-minute conversation about your market, your operating background, and your interest in PBK.
Step 2
Franchise Disclosure Document
We deliver the FDD. Federal law requires at least 14 days between receipt and signing anything — we treat that as reading time, not a formality.
Step 3
Validation and diligence
You continued to review the PBK business, speak with operators, and gather diligence while completing the full application.
Step 4
Discovery Day in Chicago
You spend a day with the leadership team, in our restaurants, on the line. You see the operation as it actually runs, on a normal trading day, not a staged tour.
Step 5
Award and agreement
Franchise Agreement execution. Territory is confirmed and the development timeline is set.
Step 6
Site selection and lease
We work your market with you: trade-area analysis, site review, letter of intent, and lease negotiation support. We reject most site candidates because it is such a critical variable to find the right one
Step 7
Design, permit, and build
Prototype design and architectural coordination, permitting, construction, and equipment installation.
Step 8
Training and opening
Initial training in Chicago for two trainees, hiring and in-market training for your team, grand opening marketing, and on-site support through opening.

Ready when you are
Step one takes two minutes.
